Christmas dinner at Pam's

Last night was Christmas dinner at Pam's house up and everything you can imagine eating was eaten. Our gift to the dinner was the "Dunseth guacamole" and was pretty much gone before everyone got there, despite 8 avocados used in the recipe.

Brady, Heather, the 5 kids, my father Bart and Jerry, Nanni, Lisa, Kelsey, Garrett, Juel, Tony, Ray, Jade, Missi, Sadee and Pam all made up the dinner party.

After the drinks, food and a little Family Guy, the gifts were up next with Jaelynn being Santa's little helper. Ashley, Braeden, Kylie, Austin and even Jaelynn seemed pretty happy with all their gifts.

The hardest part of the night was knowing that it was Scott's birthday and being the first Christmas/birthday since his passing, it wasn't the easiest on the family. That's what family and friends are for though and thankfully we all made it through in one piece.

My Father and Jerry took off for Palm Springs right after dinner and somehow made it home around 6am safely. It was the first time I've had a Christmas with my Father in over 15 years! My Mom Denise and sister Whitney get here Friday for a couple of days and that night we're all heading up to celebrate Scooter's 75th birthday party up at a bowling alley in Layton, so that should be pretty fun having an Upland reunion up in Utah.

Pam's house

Jade and I just got back from an early holiday dinner with Pam, Ray, old neighbors York and Kurt, Tony and Aubrey.

On the docket : Home made rolls, salad, mashed potatoes, roast beef with horse radish and ending with brownies, we could barely roll ourselves off the mountain.

Kurt is the guy who makes sure all the new Costco's in the entire world are up and running at full speed before they open to the public. Great stories about the store from around the world and the different perspectives that non US citizens have about American big business. His mother York was as sharp and funny as you could ask for and you had to be on your toes at all times. Gotta watch out for those Pittsburgh born women!

Tony was wearing his holiday best, happy that he finally had a day off from work. Don't let this "Revenge of the Nerds" look fool you, he's quite a catch! At least Aubrey can handle him and make sure his head doesn't get too big.

Pam, as usual made an amazing meal and was the ever gracious host, as long as I made sure I was doing my job and making sure her glass was full at all times! Ray once again was the lone man clean up crew, doing a hell of a job and one hell of a model american!

The View from Pam's house

Jade and I were standing out on the balcony of her mothers house and with it being such a clear day, this was the view we had taken by my phone.

Pretty ridiculous view to the valley floor.
